Three Birds Wellness LLC is a Physical Therapy clinic which exists to promote health and wellness in Ketchikan. We specialize in individualized care, offering an atmosphere that fosters healing, empowerment, connection and growth. We are equipped with top of the line cardio equipment and free weights designed to provide just the right challenging environment for strength and conditioning under the supervision of your Physical Therapist. Why Three Birds Wellness (FAQs)

Our clients may enter at the front door, up a small flight of stairs, located at 338 Main street or request access to our wheelchair accessible entry on the side of the building.

After checking in, you will be greeted by your Doctor of Physical Therapy who is uniquely equipped to help you with your musculoskeletal needs. Your PT will get to know you, your goals, and the unique history which brought you to our door. You will be evaluated by your Physical Therapist to determine the source of your concerns and develop a treatment plan aimed at improving your function.

It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing or bring some to change into.

We accept most major insurances in the region. Call us with your insurance information ahead of time if you would like us to check your eligibility. You may also enter your insurance information on our online portal. Cash pay options are available for those who desire treatment without going through insurance.

  • The State of Alaska is a Direct Access state, meaning you can seek out Physical Therapy care without needing a referral. However, if you have Medicaid we require a referral from your Primary Care Provider.
  • Medicare patients can be seen initially without a referral however their plan of care needs to be signed by a Primary Care Provider within thirty days of being seen, so be prepared to connect us with your PCP.
  • If your PCP has given you a referral to a different clinic, but you desire to be seen here, you have the right to request a referral to our clinic. Please reach out for assistance or any questions.

Meet Your Therapist

Dr. Lauren Bennett was born and raised in Ketchikan and is a fourth generation Alaskan. In 2015, Lauren graduated with honors from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. As soon as her degree was in hand, she and her husband packed up their things and moved to Anchorage, Alaska where she worked in Orthopedic Outpatient settings. In 2018 she and her family relocated to her hometown Ketchikan.

In addition to her clinical doctorate, Dr. Bennett has advanced training in trigger point dry needling, Mulligan manual techniques for upper and lower quarter, postpartum exercise training, and underactive pelvic floor. She also enjoys utilizing yoga sequencing with patients to promote joint alignment and longevity.

Outside the clinic, her passions include spending time making memories with her family which includes her husband, two kids, an Australian Shepard and two cats. She loves to participate in recreational outdoor activities like trail running, sea kayaking, hiking and camping. She also enjoys creative writing, storytelling, and drinking good coffee with her best girlfriends.
